Step back in time and celebrate Arcadia’s rich history at STARS. STRIPES & SWING, a 1940’s themed kick-off event honoring the spirit, sacrifice, and swing of a generation.
Discover stories from World War I and II, explore historical photos from life in Arcadia during the war years, and learn how our community played a role in America’s history. Then stay and enjoy the fun with swing music, dancers, classic cars, and a taste of the 1940’s.
This event is about remembering our past, celebrating community, and bringing people together. Dress in your best vintage attire, bring friends and family, and experience history in motion. Come for the history, stay for the swing.
Join us on Saturday, January 24, 2026, from 5:30–8:30 PM at the Arcadia Municipal Airport for a night of swing dancing, live music, vintage cars, a silent auction, and a themed dinner—all while learning how Arcadia became known as the Aviation City. Individual tickets are $50 per person, and table sponsorships are available for $500, which includes eight reserved seats. Dress in your best 1940s attire and enjoy an unforgettable night of history, patriotism, and fun in downtown Arcadia.
