The John Morgan Ingraham House is a prime example of an unaltered turn of the Century "Cracker House" within the city limits of Arcadia. The DeSoto County Historical Society restored this Cracker House to be a memorial to the early pioneer families of Arcadia and DeSoto County.
Mr. John Morgan Ingraham represented DeSoto County in the State Legislature from 1945 through 1949 and during this time several important laws benefiting DeSoto County, The State of Florida and the nation were passed.
