Every Tuesday, the Historic Heard Opera House hosts a local cornhole tournament for regional players and beyond.
The tournament starts at 7 p.m. at its location of 106 W. Oak St. Arcadia FL, 34266.
Cost is $15 per team.

The Historic Heard Opera House was built in 1906 after the fire that occurred in 1905.
It was designed by J.J. Heard who decided to rebuild as a commercial property rather than residential. The new building was now home to many business offices such as lawyers, accountants, etc.
Over the years the Heard Opera House has been used as a movie theater, Dept of Children and Families, The Agri-Ext, 4-H, A Department Store (Eaton’s), and an Antique Mall.
Now the Historic Heard Opera House is the home to many businesses once again.
