Friends, families, and craft beer enthusiasts will have a new hangout in the heart of Downtown Arcadia.
Three Trees Brewing Co. opened in October 2024.
The brewery was a vision of multiple investors and partners from around DeSoto County.
For partner and local brewer Andrew Ames, the passion started at home.
“I (brewed beer) at home as a hobby and I started talking about how it would be cool if Arcadia had its own brewery,” he said. “We talked to a couple people who had the same common interest and now we have 30 investors who are mostly local, so it’s definitely a community funded project.”
Offering 16 taps and a variety of ales, lagers, stouts and more, Three Trees will feature in-house brews, as well as others from regional microbrews such as Wet Dogs Brewing of Lake Placid, Fat Point Brewing of Sarasota, Motorworks Brewing of Bradenton, and more.
“We want local microbreweries in here,” Ames said. “I think the only name brand we might have is Guinness because that’s a reliable option, too.”
Bar and family games will be available outside, as well as an area for a local food truck to park and serve guests and families.
“The brewery is going to be family oriented,” Ames said. “The outside area will be fenced in with maybe historical-looking wrought iron fencing. So, you can be out there playing games, sitting at the picnic tables and enjoying yourself.”
“We also want to make this a bit of mission for outreach,” he added. “Amanda Rueter, a funding partner, is going to be our operator (and bar manager) – she’s a chaplain with the Army Reserve — and we are going to use the brewery as a community go-to place.”
