MCR Health, in partnership with the Florida Podiatric Medical Society, is set to host an event dedicated to promoting diabetic foot care in DeSoto County. On May 4th, 2024, the Turner Agri-Civic Center in Arcadia will serve as the venue for this crucial initiative aimed at providing free diabetic footwear to individuals diagnosed with Type 1 or Type 2 Diabetes.

Living with diabetes presents numerous challenges, among them the heightened importance of foot care. Recognizing the critical need for proper diabetic foot care, MCR Health and the Florida Podiatric Medical Society have joined forces to address this issue head-on.

The event will distribute free diabetic footwear to eligible individuals who have applied and qualified for the program. Supplies are limited, and applicants must meet the qualifying criteria to receive their free footwear.
