Matching Grants Available for Special Event Marketing
ARCADIA, Fla. – June 1, 2022 – The DeSoto County Board of County Commissioners, through its Tourism Development Council, is offering matching grants for events that promote tourism activities within DeSoto County. The program is open to any organization qualified to do business in Florida.
The funds may be used for promotional or advertising expenses in conjunction with an event to increase the awareness of DeSoto County outside this area. Out-of-county advertising and publicity can include, internet, print, broadcast or out-of-doors advertising. The maximum award is $3,000. The applicant will be required to share 25% of the match, and the County will provide 75%.
Completed applications are due December 30, 2022. Funds will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis until funds are depleted.
